Taking the First Step

Positions at Wonders range from opportunities such as Program Directors, Teachers, Group Leaders and Summer Camp Counselors. And even if the right position doesn't open up immediately, you can get to know us better by volunteering as a story reader, for example, a library assistant or substitute teacher. This way, you'll get to see first hand why people enjoy being a part of our world.

Those who become members of our staff tend to stay with us for years and years and . . . well, let's just say it isn't only because of our nurturing and stimulating working environment, or our healthy salary and benefit packages. Wonders personnel also reflect the diversity and social justice, multicultural programs that are an active part of our learning curriculum.

The Hiring Process

As a prospective staff member, be prepared for a thorough process. Initially, you will be screened by a Program Coordinator, and then participate in a program interview in one of our classrooms. Success in these sessions enables interviews with a Program Director and our Executive Director. Naturally, your references will be closely checked and we will, of course, need to do the state-mandated criminal background investigation.
